Help test Libsyn:Bitorrent
Most podcatcher clients already support .torrent downloads (usually in a very primitive way). Use this feed to help Libsyn test P2P enabled podcating.
After an extended break, here is the next episode. Based on a suggestion from Adam Levy I talk about different options for drivetrains and differentials.

I'm also going to switch over to libsyn as the host of this homepage instead of Radio Userland. Radio was causing me troubles and let's face it... it doesn't make sense to host a "podcast" on something called "radio". Hopefully the transition will go smoothly. Let me know if you see any problems.

Jerry, great explanations of the different LSD's. Just one question, in a AWD car, if it has a center differential, does that mean that there are also differentials in each axle that control left/right torque? Once again, thanks for the great podcast.

Jerry, Hope you got my email. I agree with Adam that this show was very good. You did a good job explaining a complicated subject like AWD. Oh and If I may answer Adam's question: It depends on the car. All AWD cars will have a lsd in the rear but only some have ones in the front. i.e. a WRX has a center and rear and the front is open. In the STi there are 3 LSDs, Front, Center, and Rear.

Thanks for the comments guys. Ben is correct in saying that diff-type is car specific. And each differential can be a different type, for example a viscous coupling in the center, open up front, and mechanical in the rear.

eek...sorry for that triple post, i refreshed and it did that....anywhoo i think i figured out why, the feed url in itunes is your old one still. So i guess you would have to publish another?

I just jumped into the new podcasting realm, and starting looking for shows about cars. I subscribed to yours and I must say, it is a very informational show. You actualy answered some real questions my friends and I were discussing about.

The podcasting on iTunes only has two episodes but I gathered all the other ones on here. Here are some topics I think would be good to talk about, just suggestions of course:

-Pros and Cons of Synthetic and other oils
-How pipe sizing and exhaust setups effect performance in different engines
-Different types of brakes and pros and cons of each

Again, just some ideas i've been thinking about. Do what you will with them.

Keep up the great work Jerry, I look forward to your next podcast!

    -Matt

I haven't been able to get it off iTunes either. Has something happened from you side, Jerry?

There are two listings for Podcastauto in iTunes right now. The one is the Transportation category is wrong and won't work very well, but the listing in the Travel category should work for you.

I've asked iTunes to delete the incorrect listing and I've changed the current feed to be listed in the Transportation category where it belongs. I think it just takes awhile for the databases to refresh, although I made all these changes last week and haven't seen any results yet.

So in the meantime you can subscribe to the feed in the travel category, but I expect it will disappear in the future. It wouldn't be technology if there weren't bugs to work out, right?!?
